WSOP Prep

Wow. I've spent a good part of today coordinating the creation of The Syndicate t-shirt that you will hopefully see me wearing on TV, plus making hotel arrangements for Saturday night as our fearless leader left me on my own for the night before my Day 1c (I'll get you Mark!!). So I'll be staying at Palace Station on Saturday night then checking into the room Todd has arranged for us on Sunday. Todd must be owed some serious favors in Vegas, cuz he got a comped room at the Rio for 5 nights during the biggest poker tournament in the world. I don't want to know what you did to earn those favors Todd, but huuuge shout out points for our awesome host, Todd. Hopefully I'll end up needing the room for all 5 nights (and then some).

RE: The Syndicate T Shirts.
I found a little shop in El Cajon today that can develop the template with our logo and print me up 2 shirts by tomorrow! Several other places that we contacted had a minimum of 5 business days to get the order delivered. And how's this for personal touch: the owner of the print shop is going to hand deliver the shirts to me in Vegas! No shit -- she too is going out there and is going to drop off my order to my hotel when I get in. I think they will be getting some more business from The Syndicate for future runs...

As far as poker goes, I can't wait to battle on the felt. I've got some good momentum heading into the Main Event with cashes in last month's Deep Stack Extravaganza at the Venetian ($550 tourney with 562 players) and in the last tournament I played at Oceans 11 last weekend ($100 Sunday tourney with 110 people). Plus I had a very nice cash session at Oceans 11 on Tuesday night to keep my confidence high.

My plan for the tournament includes: me playing my game. I plan to be well rested and well nourished and ready to kick ass. Quite a tall order with a whole day to kill in Vegas before I play. I've got my "Kiss My Aces" boxers (a recent gift from my fiancee. Wow - that still sounds strange to type.) packed and ready to thrust on unsuspecting victims (wait - that definitely didn't come out right).

We'll see if I can sneak out a laptop from work, otherwise blog updates may be spotty once I get to Vegas.
